    Your prospective landlord requires two references from you;
    1. An employers reference to check you are in paid employment and your salary means you can comfortably afford the room. If you are relocating and you haven’t started your new job here yet, that’s ok, we will still contact your prospective employer where you will be working when you live in Ipswich and NOT your current employer.
    2. A previous landlord reference as proof you are a good tenant whom makes rent payments on time and is not in any rent arrears. If you have only lived at home with your parents then we would accept an alternative reference but you need to contact us about this first before filling in any details for an alternative reference.

    Finally, once your application is complete, we invite you to join a company called Credit Ladder which helps you to build your credit history. It is mandatory for you to join and every month your rent payment will be reported to Experian and in time rent payments will help improve your credit history. Historically rent payments have never been reported to credit agencies. By using Credit Ladder, your rent payments can now strengthen your credit history and improve your credit score.
