CreditLadder

Credit Ladder Information for Tenants

We are always looking for ways to help our tenants and we would like to share with you our partnership with Credit Ladder.

CreditLadder is the UK’s first and biggest rent reporting service and it has helped thousands of users improve their credit scores by reporting on time rental payments.

What is rent reporting?

Rent reporting allows your monthly rent payments to be reported to credit reference agencies. Your rent payments can help improve your credit score.

CreditLadder can report rent payments to Experian, Equifax, TransUnion and Crediva. It is the only way to report rent to all four credit agencies in the UK.

When you pay your rent on time CreditLadder securely reads the rent payment from your bank account and lets the credit agencies know.

How can an improved credit score help?

Your credit score helps lenders decide how reliable you are and a stronger credit rating can make you more appealing. Benefits of an improved score include:

    • More access to a wider range of loans, credit cards and mortgages.
    • Access to more competitive interest rates.

Why we ask our tenants to sign up to Credit Ladder

We ask all our tenants to join CreditLadder which will build your credit history for free whilst you make rent payments to us. As you will be living in an all bills included property and won’t be a named person on the council tax register or any utility bills, we understand how important it is for your future finances that you start building your credit history now and with CreditLadder, this is possible. Historically rent payments have never been reported to credit agencies but by using CreditLadder, your rent payments can now strengthen your credit history and improve your credit score which is great news!

As part of your application, you will be asked to follow the link below to sign up to CreditLadder so we can be notified you have created an account (it takes no more than 5 minutes). This needs to be done as the final part of your application with us and you will not be able to move into the property until this is complete.

Please click on the link to take you to the LEA Property Solutions in association with CreditLadder landing page with full details on how to sign up. Just to remind you that takes no more than 5 minutes.
This might be the best 5 minutes you have spent for a while as this
is building your future finances!
